Frequently Asked Questions
How does the application process work?
After receiving your application, we review your documents and contact you if interested for an initial conversation. This is followed by a personal meeting and a short trial lesson. If there is mutual interest, you will be trained in the SmartSteps method and can then start.
Which subjects are particularly in demand?
We are currently looking for tutors especially for the subjects mathematics, English, German, physics and chemistry. But applications for other subjects are also welcome.
Can I work full-time or part-time?
At SmartSteps you can work both full-time and part-time. Working hours are flexible and individually coordinated. Many of our tutors are students, retirees or part-time workers who want to pass on their knowledge.
Where does the tutoring take place?
Tutoring can take place either at the students' homes or online via video platforms such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams. Depending on your preferences and possibilities, you can decide which format you prefer.
